The WiFi in the campus which was previously under Squid Proxy and was recently updated to the FortiGuard Web Filtering. This brought about drastic unexpected and unpredictable situations on existing facility. The speed that is now accessible is considerably low. Moreover sites on https:// do not load due to authentication reasons and timeouts. Even sites that are usually accessed like gmail, twitter, facebook (the
site that brought about some hope in the campus!) etc do not load.
A cure to the situation is to deactivate the proxy settings(which seems to never happen). There is some hope if browsers like Safari or Opera are installed.
One advantage of the situation is that the WiFi supports Whatsapp but Android Play Store which was accessible on Android ICS and above is not in the picture.
